Marielle Volland was exposed to volleyball at a young age. Attending coed recreation leagues with her father as the athlete, and coordinator of most of the teams he played for. Her desire to play only grew from there. She was active in her school's volleyball program from the age of 10 through her Senior year in high school, as the team's captain. During this time, she also played competitively for her local elite club, while continuously playing in adult coed leagues.  She further developed her own role as the coordinator/team captain for several adult coed recreation teams.

 

She's had the pleasure of coaching players throughout the years, both at the school level and locally for Golden Isles Volleyball Club in 2010-2011.

 

Coach Marielle: "I've been blessed to find a community of competitive athletes that share my love for the sport over the course of the last decade in the Golden Isles. This community has extended my experience to the sand courts, allowing me to compete in multiple tournaments over the years. I am grateful to be able to contribute my skills and experience to WAVES Volleyball club and look forward to the growth of my favorite sport within our community."
